2013/2014 Anyone?

I've received a few messages asking about the hurt/comfort bigbang and if it we will be making another attempt at it. Previously, when I was working on the community, RL threw a few curve balls and I lost my computer at the time. It took awhile for me to get another one but by the time that I had, there were other things that just became so overwhelming that I didn't think of anything online.

Since life has stabilized here (*crosses fingers*), I want to try to get this going for a complete and successful season. But in doing so, I would like to find two new co-mods to work with me on this so that if I, or anyone else is running behind on getting a specific post up or answer questions, there is someone available that can jump in.

I created a new email address for the community so questions can also be directed there as it goes directly to my phone. The new address is listed on the community profile here and on the new header image on the comm layout.

I am currently reviewing prospective dates for the challenge as well as other details. If you are interested in working with me as a co-mod, please reply to this entry (all comments are screened) with what you are willing and able to offer in your assistance.

I ended up posting the story I finished for last big bang on my own elsewhere and was sad to see the big bang not work out that time. Now that I know I'm capable of writing something of that length that actually turns out all right, I would be interested in participating again!

I can't commit to co-modding because my own life is busy and I don't want to let anyone down by overcommitting myself. But if you absolutely can't find anyone else, I'd be happy to help out! I'd love to see this thing become a, you know, thing!

I'm just happy if you are willing to give me another chance in general! And CHEERS! for finishing your story that time! I know how hard it is to write such lengthy fics by yourself (I've attempted many but never succeeded. I actually have one going now myself that I'm still in complete and total shock I've done as much as I have!)

I was looking around for a bigbang a few months ago, trying to find something that would fit my schedule. Many ran in the same period, ending late fall and I didn't find any that took place over the winter (in my wintertime, I mean). So... It seems to me that your current suggested schedule is a good idea. I don't know if this is the norm for this challenge or not.

I know the purpose of a bigbang is to write a lengthy fic, which I have done, but it seems that 25k is going to narrow the field a bit. Is there any alternative, maybe opening it up to two diff lengths, one being a bit shorter?

Given that you have until May to finish the story, 25k isn't really all that much. I'm personally sitting at 23k posted since June 6th of this year, so I am more than 100% sure it's completely achievable if you have the proper cheer squad working with you.

Too true, and I expect that once I got going I'd hit 25 k with no problem...I do tend to overextend myself though and signed up for 2 BBs this season that both have the same ends date! Which means I'm off to write.
